Howzit! Welcome to Cape Town

Cape Town, the Mother City - where it all began - it’s the perfect way to introduce yourself to Africa and settle in before setting off on Safari. Ending a safari in Cape Town is a brilliant idea too but if you ask me Cape Town is a dream destination on its own, for many it is a place they keep coming back to.

This unique city on the far edge of the African continent has everything from adventure to rich culture and raw beauty. It’s a melting pot of African and European heritage, it’s by far the most biodiverse city in the world from penguins to botanical wonders and has a food and wine industry that matches any discerning location. With a backdrop of Table Mountain and endless white beaches it’s hard to find a more beautiful city in the world - its also just a couple of hour’s flight to some unique safari destinations - Cape Town for me has it all!

I was born in Cape Town and the city remains my base. In fact, most of my family is still spread out around the mountain. I would love to show you ‘my’ city that I know intimately. Secret sunset spots, hip side-road hangouts, hidden waterfalls or even the top tourist sites. ‘Us’ locals love being tourists in our own city - let me show you a Cape Town you cannot find with anyone else!

Best time to visit:

Jan - March: It’s usually hot with a high chance of South Easter wind. For that reason, it is a dream destination for those who love wind sports. As we transition to April and into May we can expect calmer days often with mist. June-August is the peak of the winter but while there are rainy, cold days, there are often perfect warm days in between. At the end of July, the aerial cableway is usually closed for its annual maintenance. Winter often drags on well into September and by October the days start warming up and so does the wind arrive.
